The St Alban’s Head area is often well frequented but it is geographically isolated and, although we aim to have two people on watch at all times, there may be occasions when watchkeepers are alone. So, they must be self-reliant and have no medical condition which might affect their safety or their watchkeeping ability in such circumstances.
